Concur.
One of my personal opinions is that we need to be having students at all levels doing more creative writing. The last 20+ of writing instruction seems to have shifted towards more regimented genres of composition, but one outcome has been a detachment from writers encountering their own voice.

I remember this. It's why they decided to act and take the flight down themselves. They understood what their fate was and decided to save the people on the ground where the plane's target was intended to be. They were heroes who knowingly sacrificed themselves so many others would live.
a thing I did not know about Flight 93 was that because the flight was delayed and because the hijackers waited more than 40 minutes before trying to take the plane, the people aboard knew about the other planes.
…did KSL think this would end any other way than the first few attacks succeeding and then every remaining plane getting blow out of the sky and/or Flight 93’d?

This is happening all over the country. And again, the billionaires who claim to be about a healthy democracy—not many I grant you—could invest in journalism instead of campaign ads and dark influencers. But they don’t.
Journalists all across the PNW laid off by McClatchy today, a damn bloodbath. Some are people I’ve worked with, some are calling me crying because their mentors no longer have jobs. Journalism is so needed. Cutting investigative reporters, city reporters… Idaho & Washington will be worse off.

In a sane country, it would be a huge embarrassment for the draft-dodger president to admit that he looked into giving himself the Medal of Honor and was disappointed to learn he couldn't.
