I don't really vibe with the new art direction at all, but I initially thought the same thing about the Link's Awakening remake and it later ended up growing on me so maybe the same thing will happen here but it seems a little less likely.

Just got done with Blighttown on my current playthrough of DS1. To this day I still don't think it's as bad as everyone says. The only problem I ever had with it was that it ran like shit on the original PC version but I'm playing Remastered now so I have nothing to complain about.
