“…government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” — Abraham Lincoln
Right the fuck on:
Any who is advising Democrats to find the center, as they have for the last decade, should just go the fuck away.

Their time has passed. They don’t understand this moment and the dire need to not give ground—especially on stuff like trans rights.

Jettison their whole ideological project.

I think it’s interesting how many people think this post is aimed specifically at Talarico when there are a number of Democrats who have embraced anti-trans rhetoric this cycle.

It’s a horrific and craven move ethically that also happens to be a political miscalculation.

This is really well done, great tour of recent history for those who might not understand the rights trans people have lost or the devastation in learning some Democrats want to entrench those losses rather than reverse them.
When Democrats attempt to triangulate on trans rights, it's my sense that many liberals and people in politics don't understand why many trans people are so upset. I wrote about the differences between then and now, what trans people have lost, and what we still stand to lose

#Denmark built so much wind that some blustery hours the turbines out-produce what the whole country is using.
When that happens, the extra power doesn’t sit idle. It moves through Denmark’s links into the wider European network and heads to neighbors like Germany, Norway, Sweden. #ActOnClimate

300 + million birds will soar across the US Sat. during their annual fall migration, with requests for residents to turn off / dim lights to help ensure safe flight.

Not to be some wild-eyed innocent, but I think it should be slightly bigger news that The Lancet have crunched the numbers and found that Musk's USAID cuts will kill 14 million people. And that's just by 2030.

That's 9,600 people a day, every day, until the next world cup rolls around.

Dr. Abdul El-Sayed was practically engineered to break MAGA brains.

American-born (sorry, no “go back” card), ridiculously credentialed (MD + Oxford PhD), explains policy like a normal human, and takes zero crap.

Good luck finding a script for that.

Right on with every word of this: incumbent Dems better start reading the room & start fighting. @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social @schumer.senate.gov @sanders.senate.gov @motherjones.com
I never thought I would vote for a DSA candidate, but Dem leadership and the party as a whole has been a bunch of cowards against the corruption of the Trump crime family. Ill take a fighter over Stevens & her AIPAC and Panlintr money. Incumbent Dems better start reading the room & start fighting.

This is how it’s done.
In theory, the moral clarity and steadfastness demonstrated in this statement condemning Israel’s war crimes should be the bare minimum. But in the meantime, Mamdani is a giant among cowardly politicians.
Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal.
