This is going to make air travel much, much worse. We're all in agreement on that right? Flying and airports are going to suck after some company gets free rein to try and squeeze every last nickle out of a captive clientele.
Most people don't know that the best way to make a service more efficient is to bring in a layer of upper management devoted solely to extracting a profit from it.

Funny how the drive to privatize Canada's airports didn't start with the Ottawa airport, the one MPs use the most. It would've been the perfect trial, they all could've seen what the result was first hand before inflicting it on everyone else.

Thousands of immigrants did the hard, dirty work of clearing rubble and toxic dust and debris from Ground Zero. Many were undocumented laborers sent to work every day with no special PPE, and got cancer as a result. Now some of those same people are living in fear of ICE.

As I've said before: What high-paying long-term jobs do they pretend exist here? A data center isn't a place where execs come and do Big Deals. Go to the server room at your workplace; are there lots of rich people in there spending money?
Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."
