I love sports, esp cricket (White Ferns/Black Caps/Blaze/Firebirds) and rugby (Black Ferns/ABs/Poua/Lions), but also, Up The Wahs!
Kia pai tō rā :-)

What. A. Performance! Far out, how orsum are the #Poua, we have beaten the other 3 teams in #Aupiki in the last 3 weeks, today's game was the best, the win plucked from a scrum turnover with 10s left on the clock, to build 14 phases for Holmes to convert Mulu's try. Kātahi te wehi o te kēmu!

After watching today's games I'd definitely prefer Renée Holmes over Dmac

Holy shit, the Poua!!! What an utterly brilliant performance, first time we've won two in a row, and over the Blues, no less! Well done team, loving watching your astonishing progress this season, keep it up 🏉 👍

Just finished the delayed replay of #WhiteFerns v SA, and fucken hell Melie Kerr you are O for orsum, 179* (139) taking us to an unbelievable win at the Basin, a knock for the ages!!! Well done also to Gaze who helped set up the victory. Fuck me, I'm lucky to witness such greatness 🇳🇿🏏

Jess Kerr, what an absolute legend!!! Where did that come from, 46 off 26 for her today - we needed 16 off that last over and 99 times out of 100 the bowling side will win, but not today! Kudos to McFadyen for sacrificing herself to keep Kerr J on strike

Yee fucken haa, ka rawe our wonderful Black Ferns with their win today to wrestle back the Pac4 trophy from worthy opponents Canada. And how good was Portia Woodman-Wickliffe with 6, yes, 6 tries (equal with Marc fucking Ellis of all people) for the most tries in a game. Tino pai rawa atu!!!

Ok so watching today's HBJ and despite the amazing effort of Green to get 126, PInglis somehow made 86 ( what a star!) , but ultimately my favourite Eden Carson made 59 to take the HBJ shield. Kia kaha Ōtakou!

Ok no, I'm gonna come out and say it even as a Blaze supporter: Otago were robbed in that Super Smash final. It has bothered me ever since that day at the Basin: how fair is it that the Blaze got to call in 2 Aussies, given they had Codyre and Wakelin and Williams and Bryant

I submitted on Treaty, Regulatory Standards and Boot Camps bills, please make your own submission- here how below!
Right! The Oranga Tamariki Amendment Bill submission is done. I almost overlooked it in favour of the Regulatory Standards Bill but Emily Writes made great list with dates & points & I realised I was best placed to submit on it due to my experience with the exact kids that bill targets 🙌
OK fine, what submissions do I have to make FFS?!
Don't worry - I got you. Here's everything you need in one place!

July reading challenge, ritenga reo Māori. It's very slow going for me, but fun nonetheless. Only managed 3 chapters so far, at about half a chapter a night. But, how freaking ātaahua is this pukapuka?
