We think this points toward a broader shift in software.

Fixed apps give way to reusable skills. Those skills generate interfaces on the fly, shaped around the user and the task instead of the other way around.

But today’s agent interfaces still feel stuck in the MS-DOS era.

That’s why we made Television.

It gives agents shared screens where they can create visual HTML artifacts: dashboards, editable documents, research views, coding tools, tiny apps, and whatever else the task calls for.

For a while, we’ve been predicting a new kind of personal computer: one that adapts to the user, and trades fixed apps for generative, personalized interfaces.
