Over two decades I watched the decline of our downtown core. As in most cities it’s because of a series of errors, the worst of which was ignoring the drug crisis. open.substack.com/pub/terryrei...

I worked in local radio for years, first as a DJ, then as a newsman. The loss of some legacy radio stations is a blow to Canada's media landscape.

Working in a big city newsroom, I think is a little like serving in combat. You live with images and horrible scenes you can never forget.
