Just got home from Camp Miasma.
This, along with jane schoenbrun's previous films, remind me a lot of Araki's Teen Angst trilogy. A triptych of lessons learned in youth, and how those lessons shape, prepare, and possibly fail you.
Everyone will walk away with something different. Phenomenal film.

The goth conservative thing isn't a surprise. While I've known many progressive goths, I've known just as many who are homophobic, racist, and just plain mean. It's not new, they just have a new way to be a pick me now.
