The Indian Air Force are the last of anyone operating Avro/Hawker/HS/BAe 748 "Budgies". This successful workhorse will be missed by many. CASA 295s are replacing their licenced version, the Hindustan HAL 748.

Junkers Ju 52/3m was captured by the Australian forces at Ain-El Gazala, Libya, repainted and nicknamed "Libyan Clipper". The aircraft was used by 450 Squadron RAAF to transport mail, food supplies and small items.

At the age of 21 (just 5 ft. 2 inches tall), Joan Hughes joined & served with the ATA throughout the war. She was a capable instructor and flew just about everything including the massive Short Stirling. Respect! #ata #shortstirling #raf #ww2

I have just hit 3,000 subscribers (3,303 at this point). Interesting what goes down well or does not! I just upload subjects that interest me & chuffed that others enjoy the same sort of stuff. I have a long list of Aviation Rarities still to cover. Work in progress, on other suff.
