The 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games don’t officially begin until Sept. 19 but basketball started yesterday and soccer (football) begins Monday; if you live in a country that doesn’t have a broadcaster I think you can watch all the competitions on the official OTT platform:

Let’s say this plainly - a deadly combination of corporate greed and war is driving us towards global food shortages where the poorest people will starve.

We need politics to step us back from the brink, invest in renewables not weapons, food not bombs. www.abc.net.au/news/2026-08...
Grim signs the globe is about to run short of food
Just as the global economy was adjusting to higher fuel prices, a new inflationary wave is about to hit. This time, the shortages will involve food and the poorest nations will be the worst affected.

The thing is you gotta be obsessed with the Nazi regime to even reach for a Bonhoeffer reference here and you gotta be an incredibly twisted soul to think Bonhoeffer’s nonviolent heroism is the tragedy we can’t repeat in that story.
Rep. Brandon Gill: "We particularly need the left to tone down the rhetoric ... somebody is gonna listen and believe they are the next Dietrich Bonhoeffer and act on that and that's what we're seeing here."

But I'm reasonably confident that if you'd have given Ange Danso and van de Ven (let alone Romero and van de Ven) for 30 games a season, rather than 15, our defensive numbers over those 2 seasons would've been dramatically better. Not even getting into playing w/o Udogie and Vicario as well.
