LLMs aren't conscious agents. Plenty of actual bad things to write about not hyping a fake spike. This is just LLMs sucking like they suck and people using more LLM agents that get the chance to suck in the real world.

Yep. Tolkien knew what he was doing. I don't agree with him about a lot of stuff, but the Shire is pretty clearly intended to be a reflection of both the positive and negative aspects of small town/rural life
The Shire's isolationism is also criticised by the narrative in Lord of the Rings, moreso in the books. The Elf Gildor points out how their "traditionalism" relies on a selective version of their history, and when Saruman takes over, it's the more traditionalist Hobbits who willingly fall in line.
Apparently hot take for this website, but JRR Tolkien is not a reactionary luddite monarchist idolizer of small town conservative Britain and if you think he is, you need to learn how to read and should have paid more attention in English class.
