Looks like an adult female deer tick to me. I'm not too worried about lyme since I removed it within hours. Powassan virus is the scary one with these guys - needs only 15 min. Luckily, that is rare.

This gal is about the size of a sesame seed. I think she is a deer tick but will find out tomorrow. Thankfully, she didn't feed very long.

Yeah, I used spray, but guess I missed a spot? Just encouragement to also wear my gaiters from now on. (But I am also going to send my main giking clothes in to get treated.)

I had sprayed my socks for ticks, too, but this one managed to climb up my leg. :/

All done! Hidden Valley Preserve in Washington, CT. The suspension bridge is the best part, tbh. Piss-poor blazing ticked me off enough to cut this trail short by a few miles.
