We are going to win! This stuff can and will be brought to a halt. None of it is inevitable. Anthropic cannot afford to slow down. It has to grow to at least $100bn a year in revenue or it doesn’t have a hope in hell of paying its compute bills. Same for clammy little Altman.
Uber’s COO has said that it’s getting “harder to justify” its AI costs because there was no way to show a link between AI spend and any meaningful increase in useful features. This is the first time I’ve seen a company say this directly.

one of my biggest regrets in life is how horribly i treated my family growing up. i had a very dark outlook on life and was very immature. treated my poor sisters and mother like shit. I really hope i can get closer to my sisters with time but there's not much i can do. can't change the past
