Oh it’s a community server for a sci-fi webnovel called "The Nature of Predators". Joined because I thought the story is neat and stayed because the peeps I met there are cool.
It isn’t really niche compared to your server though, it currently has 3000+ members

I think the same too, dramas in small fandom has greater “potency” I think. You’re more likely to know someone who is affected by it, and maybe even the person who instigated it in the first place

I also had a similar experiences as you too, a particularly bad incident that took place on a Discord server where many prominent community members got exposed for doing some heinous shit... It tanked morale and activity for months

From my point of view, drama is all but inevitable in sufficiently popular fandoms. It’s happening now with TADC and will be happening in all upcoming indie shows, games, etc.
So getting involved is simply not worth the energy and mental strain that comes with it.

CKGH also have the Dragon King in it. Which immediately puts it into top of S tier and makes it my favourite game in all of existence

But what I appreciate about CKGH that LPBP lacks is the many charming characters and side characters it has. It’s what motivated me to do all the sidequests in the game, even it felt like a slog at times. Just to see more interactions with them.

I also agree that while I definitely prefer CKGH over it’s predecessor. LPBP is more interesting gameplay-wise, it's story is amazing aswell even if the time it takes to complete the game is only 4-5 hours, atleast for me.
