In 1659, the the Puritans in Massachusetts enacted a law that declared that Christmas was sacrilege and exchanging of gifts, greetings, and wearing fine clothing on that day was Satanic. Anyone caught celebrating was fined 5 shillings. (About 5 days wages.)

Do yourself a favor, don't look up information about tea brands. 😒 You'll be disappointed in your favorite tea. Human rights violations, refusal to pay employees, ephedrine in tea, and unapologetic about their part in the slave trade. Basically the older the tea company the worse they are 😭
