I feel like by that point though,you know how the world works and sort of expect that these characters will be seen again. I mean, at least they didn't just make all the characters like that Moebius.

Aside from Moebius, all the deaths are 'fake outs' because they just get reborn. I don't think they were following the plot.

Xenosaga Freaks erasure is real. Monsters. Or it's just an obscure Japanese spinoff full of minigames. One of those things.
