read the article making this argument and it just reinforced the 3d printing analogy. the industry hype with AI is 100x larger, but the pattern was a similar "this is going to change humanity" to "this is going to revolutionize specific industries" to "this will be a fun hobby for eccentrics"

A longtime proponent of the idea that these inductions mean nothing but also a longtime proponent of the idea that Joy Division and New Order are the same band so I’m split on this announcement
Catching up and gotta say, I can't complain: five of my seven choices (in that I'm an official voter) made it through. Specifically: Maiden, JD/NO, Sade, Luther and Wu.
