Restarted this one. Going to take a bit more time with it on this go around, I actually was enjoying myself a bit, but wasn’t actively seeking out energy tanks or upgrades and got to the “lava monster” boss on Normal, ha.
As someone who has played most of the Metroid games (OG NES, GB 2, Super, Fusion, the whole Prime trilogy, Dread), I think I’m done with this one. I’m not enjoying myself at all, sadly. (Yes, I may have raged quit after dying to a certain boss 4 times in a row)

Restarted this one. Going to take a bit more time with it on this go around, I actually was enjoying myself a bit, but wasn’t actively seeking out energy tanks or upgrades and got to the “lava monster” boss on Normal, ha.
As much as I really enjoy Mario Kart World. MK8DX getting a big Switch 2 update is definitely welcomed! 12+ years and it’s still the best Kart game.

I got the Donkey Kong Country bundled SNES set, so it’s safe to say that was probably my first SNES game. (Although Mega Man X or Zelda: a Link to the Past could possibly be it too)

Last week, we stayed at Port Orleans: French Quarter resort at Disney World. I absolutely love PO: Riverside and wanted to try FQ.
Pros: The size of the resort, the beignets, and the Jazz lounge. Cons: The quick service and the pool (I much prefer Ol’ Man Island).

Haven’t been as active recently, had another health scare two weeks ago, but thankfully everything is good now. Also, when I’m not adulting, I’ve been replaying Donkey Kong 64 (I’m loving and fucking hating it at the same time).

Haven’t been as active recently, had another health scare two weeks ago, but thankfully everything is good now. Also, when I’m not adulting, I’ve been replaying Donkey Kong 64 (I’m loving and fucking hating it at the same time).
After a few months of really enjoying the 8bitdo 64 controller (best N64 controller ever imo), I decided to buy another one - mostly to comfortably play N64 Switch Online with my wife. Plus, I plan on getting an Analogue 3D sometime soon.
Also, StarFox on Switch 2 is highly recommended.

After a few months of really enjoying the 8bitdo 64 controller (best N64 controller ever imo), I decided to buy another one - mostly to comfortably play N64 Switch Online with my wife. Plus, I plan on getting an Analogue 3D sometime soon.

Finally got our new living room furniture delivered last week (picture taken right after delivery before we moved the coffee table back). Way more comfortable for game night lol

Update: I’m finally back to work (was able to return this past Monday the 18th). Recovery is taking a lot longer than originally thought. I’m just glad to get back to somewhat normalcy.
So, had major surgery a week ago on my stomach, they had to take out my gallbladder and work on tubes linking my pancreas to liver. I have four incision sites that are all stitched up. I am doing a little bit better, but have to have assistance doing things, hopefully just another week for recovery.

Just wanted to post an update on playing with the 8bitdo N64 controller. Been replaying Ocarina of Time and I’ve collected all the medallions. This is the best N64 controller I’ve ever used. Highly Recommended.

Anyway, quick post, I haven’t collected actual Pokémon cards since 2000 when I was a kid, but I really enjoy the TCG Pocket app. Yesterday, from my two free packs, I got lucky.

Was able to try out the 8bitdo 64 Controller for a bit last night on the Switch 2 - was very surprised that it read the controller as an official N64 one. It definitely was way better playing the few games I tested with it over using the Pro Controller.

Just found out that Konami is releasing a Goemon collection (by M2) in Japan this July of all the Famicom, SFC, and Game Boy games. Definitely wish this would be translated and released over here. One of my all time favorite games is Mystical Ninja 64 (not included in this though).

Was excited to see this on the Partner Direct today. Both NES Bomberman II and Super Bomberman 2 are a couple of my favorite Bomberman games. I want the physical copy, but is the physical copy just a Switch 1 edition? What is the difference between the two? Hmm.

Been awhile since I posted on the old retro game collection. My wife picked up a few games for my collection over the holidays that I surprisingly never owned, but played a lot with friends who did own them.

Finally got around to building the LEGO Game Boy set from last October. It’s definitely one of the better sets to come out in a long time. Would love if they made expansions for it, for example: a Pokémon cart included with one of the LEGO Pokémon sets.
