I love how Isaac and Luci both decided to wait to have additional health problems after we finally arent literally living paycheck to paycheck but like could they also not do this now I think I’ve spent $5k+ at the vet this summer

Crazy how vacuums used to be like big ass heavy things and meanwhile I own FIVE FUCKING VACUUMS in the year of our lord 2026 and two of them are cordless! Three of them have a hand held mode! One can vacuum water! And three of them retail for less than $300 TOTAL. I just keep acquiring vacuums.

The other day we were at a family event and one of KJ’s aunts kept trying to say it was ridiculous to have to turn off lights for turtles on the coasts and I kept saying shit like “turtles were there first” “many turtles already don’t make it to the ocean from their nest, don’t make it worse”

KJ and I planted some potatoes earlier this year and we harvested them last week and it wasn’t a lot and they weren’t very big but they tasted soooo good when I cooked them and now KJ is talking about turning our garage into a greenhouse lol

This morning we gave Isaac his first B12 injection with supervision from the vet tech who did our intake for his ultrasound and she was very excited to report that he weighed in at 10.6lbs! She picked him up and could tell he’d been gaining weight!

Isaac is back up to 10lbs average according to the litter robot, so he’s gained almost a full pound since starting the steroid!

Isaac is still doing Okay. We think he had a normal poop yesterday, he’s been eating alright, but he hasn’t put any weight back on yet. He’s just hovering around 9.5-9.8lbs. Which I am fine with rn if only because he isn’t currently losing more weight. He tried to steal my pizza the other night!

Isaac’s ultrasound revealed he does not have pancreatitis and instead likely has either an IBD or a GI cancer, I’m having a second vet take a look at everything and we’re trying some meds until biopsy comes back
