Small reminder that if you're playing an online (Or any) game, don't expect people to play like professional gamers. Not everyone plays like that, and games are meant for people to have fun with.
You can play however you like, but forcing your expectations on others doesn't look good on you.

Just realized that Expedition 33 had its GoTY rescinded back in December. Tbf, I don't care how good a game is; It doesn't deserve to sweep the awards and not let ANY other game get recognition. Still think if a game wins GoTY it shouldn't be allowed to win anything else.

Hot take: Blizzard is actually struggling and this attempt to use all their IPs in half-baked content is a last-ditch effort to get funds for Diablo 5 and the new Starcraft, and if that fails, they're done for. We've seen this before, it isn't new.

Doing that writing thing I mentioned the other day, and MAN, it feels great to be able to explore aspects of characters that you can't just do by pondering on your own. RPing with people is such a great way to expand what you know about your own character, and I love it so much.

Not saying XIV doesn't have this either, I can 100% agree that it does, but it feels like other playerbases have it worse in a way to where at least the XIV devs tell you directly you can leave and come back later.
Every time I hear about MMOs in general, as someone that only plays XIV, I think about how it feels like playerbases have Stockholm syndrome.
One small good thing happens, they flock like madmen, then complain and act like they're in too deep to leave again. Wild stuff to watch.

Like, maybe it's because they all have had 5+ years of work put into them, but it feels like pulling teeth to get people to actually care. And it's a big part of why I don't really talk about them like I used to.
I kinda miss doing it, though. I love them so much and hate that I can't share them.

I have so many characters that I want to talk about, but I feel like when I try, people tend to just push them away to talk about their own, or give a simple 'Oh, nice' without really seeming to be paying attention to what I am actually saying. It's a big part of why I keep quiet a lot of the time.
