A great thread and reminder about why I actually like sites like this.
4 yrs ago today, a family member managed a truly spectacular own goal, splintered his domestic bliss, & in the process, united the world for a day.

On popular request, I shall now recreate the livetweet thread from that day

Horse girls need to get active.
NYT: “.. Slaughtering wild horses is illegal, but the [Bureau of Land Management’s] actions create a loophole that enables people to get mustangs on the cheap and then quickly resell them to be exported alive, processed into cuts of meat and sold abroad.”

5-9 gets really interesting in tonight’s draft. I’d be super surprised if there aren’t two trades. A lot the talent is hard to sort, whoever gets it right might land a HOF player.

Also, we continue to get dumber by the day as a country. Protecting the fucked up pool on the news all day.
Just when you think it can’t get more weird…..

The NBA Draft is tonight, World Cup is in full swing. Young people should know that on days like this before November 2016 we would jump on Twitter and it would be wall to wall jokes about England and NBA draft rumors. Truly was a simpler time, I miss it so much.

lol the @chiefs.bsky.social are going to leave this stadium. The dumbest move in American Sports history. These teams, these fans- they are lost in the Arrowhead sauce. This never be duplicated.

First World Cup game is Kansas City tonight. Westport was definitely more lively than normal this morning, looks like they are getting ready for a big crowd. Excited to see what happens, I hope everyone enjoys themselves here.

Last image from tonight (short film in the morning): this brother out here with his Singer sewing machine, gifting people a custom embroidery on their jerseys and hats with the name and the date, was more artistic than anything at Burning Man and ad gorgeous as a Caravaggio.

Magic!

Goodnight.

The agenda is simple:

Raise wages.
Guarantee healthcare.
Protect rights.
End corruption.

That's what Democrats should be fighting for.

USMNT might be okish? I have been wildly pessimistic, would be overjoyed to be proven wrong. Still a couple defensive moments that were big woofs but hey

No one goes undefeated in New York, but bring some country charm to the right spots and you will definitely have a winning record.

Mamdani's revival of early 20th century "sewer socialism" here is the inverse of Guiliani's "broken windows" approach.
