Das ist leider wahr. Allerdings immer noch nicht plastisch genug. Und es gibt derzeit kaum jemand, die oder der das Gegenteil glaubhaft verkörpert

Laughing stock, aye, but pain-inducingly so. So many base lines are being broken, people being abused by claqueurs and decency many had still tried to uphold goes down the drain. Rebuilding that will be hard. It has, however, answered my question, how on earth Germans could have gone that way…

That’s quite late to experience that as a first… like all things, great at times lonely at others in my experience. All the best to you!

Agreed. Same goes to a few other states, that are just not as influential. Everybody used to make fun of Germans. Let’s hope the torch will not completely passed on to the US. It’s bad enough already!

But uncontrolled capitalism is - in the field of press as in other walks of life - especially good for and to those who own large chunks of the field.

Same I call it in the US. End of the freedom of press. The US used to be proud of it. However, a lot of your press has been dismantled by a number of actors for a long time. I am certain some oversight and some independent funding might have helped.

I‘m afraid politics these days haven’t been about logic for a while. Actually having a bit of society is rather reassuring and helpful often…

If they don’t stop this in Senate, I guess, the authoritarianism will be well-earned. So far, the checks could have worked a lot better.
