The prime minister, Anthony Albanese, has confirmed next month’s federal budget will not include a new tax on existing gas export contracts as he criticised the “populist” campaign calling for a levy on producers.

Labor in #SouthAustralia needs to understand that a simple measure like free or 50c public transport for at least a couple of months is not optional. It keeps PHON on the sidelines and better (can't say good) policy in the frame of reality. They learnt nothing last weekend I guess?

Interesting read. The transition to renewables is getting harder to stop in spite of the major parties pushing gas (and coal in the case of the #LNP)
