How I wish I were still close enough to go to the Galivants Ferry stump meeting for the ‘28 primary! We went in 2020, and met Biden, Klobuchar, and Mayor Pete long enough for a short 1-on-1 conversation and a hug. Sanders, Warren, and Harris skipped the event.
It is very funny to see some of the most important people in the world discover that with SC primary voters, politics is a human endeavor. Money, glitz, glamor, fame, book deals, won’t get your far with the president of the Delta sorority in a rural county. Or a AME Zion church elder in Rock Hill.

We had a good run. Now what? When the Supreme Court gives all the power to the president and to billionaires, what can we do? If we have any chance of saving our republic, it’s going to take years of attrition, law suits, and legislation. If they succeed in fucking with elections, then what?
