I absolutely adore Travelers, a time-travel "fix the apocalypse before it happens" series with GREAT characters, if you haven't seen that yet. Or for a bit of supernatural fun, Lockwood & Co. was great, I wish it had more than 1 season.

Yeah, they got me on Reacher... I was NOT paying the $5, ep1 said "ad-free thanks to Ch*tGPT for sponsoring after this 30-second ad". So I suffered through.
15 minutes in, I get a 90-sec Link*din ad, and I caved. Why is it BAD ads, too? Like, TERRIBLE stuff I hate. I'd watch a Tide commercial.

I have the same 100+ books wish list duplicated on Amazon, Kobo, and BookBub, and check daily, but that's a lot for most people who are not me, ha.

The best way I have found: Go to Amazon, then Books department. Top nav sub-menu "Your Books" drop-down, Saved books. Shows all your wish-listed books, with sort and filter. Wishlist everything, hit it daily, sort by price. And Kobo usually price-matches.

And you don't get those "higher wages" back if you don't use their provided service. Say, by having both my husband and myself on the same plan with one employer or the other. And paying the extra "spouse" fee to do so. It's all a racket.

I am loving these books SO SO much right now, the perfect escape read each evening. I just started the series mid-Feb, got started on book 7 last night. I might re-read the entire series while I wait for book 8.

As a 50+ year old with ever-increasing magnifications on my reading glasses and a tendency to get migraines with bright light (so I work in a cave all day), not too shabby.

I made it through ep3 the first try, and didn't finish for MONTHS, until I was about to cancel the sub. It DID get better - ep4 brings back a character I like, ep5 was a HEIST, and the finale was really good. I used the "jump >> 10s" button a lot, though, for the therapy and militant stuff. YMMV.

That, and the batteries ARE replaceable with a small screwdriver. If you just take a little bit of care taking the sticker off, it looks good as new.

I went straight to the cancel page as soon as I got the email. I have a couple weeks left on the last $2.99 payment to finish what I'm currently watching. Ugh.

Thanks for the heads-up, I got both of these and King Sorrow! (on Kobo, though, heh - same price) What's the link you use to see these monthly sales? The Kindle Deals carousel seems somewhat limited.

Same but for TV - tried to stick to physical media but went back to streaming because they have a "skip 10s" button that my DVD software does not. Endless pitch-black shaky-cam chases through warehouses, sudden flashlight glare stabbing my eyes, fake tension, over-extended fights, ugh.

Oh my goodness, I need one of those for my big (20lb) chonky boy Toby, he's very white and VERY floof and could use a bib at dinner time. Ends up with little bits of pate stuck to his chest fluff and goes MLEM trying to clean it, ha.

I found a lovely, friendly welcoming group of Minecraft streamers / YouTubers called #Hermitcraft, and anytime I need a break from *all the things*, I can watch a live stream, VOD, or video and remember that there are still good people and good things out there.

The second book is on "sale" right now as well, I have had both sequels wishlisted at $12.99 for months now, got #2 today for $9.99, with my Kindle points it was even lower!
