This is an idea or lick I’ve been putting together for a week or so. Finally nailed it on the second pass. 2/3 midterms are done. Last one is tomorrow. Then a couple more group projects before spring break. Looking at solutions for food insecurity in one. Promising prospects. Little wins.

Remember during Covid lockdowns when we would go outside at sunset and scream at the top of our lungs? We should bring that back.

With Musk and his goons having access to all of our personal info now would be a good time to freeze your credit in all three major credit bureaus if you haven’t.

Equifax
Experian
Transunion

I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said no food without farms. It was next to a blue lives matter flag. Can’t say forsure this person was MAGA but the thought that farms are irrelevant without workers came regardless.

I find Calexit interesting. Around 560k ppl have to vote to approve it by 7/22/25 to even make the ballot. It begs interesting questions. Is CA well positioned to pick up the NIH, CDC, DEI rights, etc? With the World’s 4th largest economy it might even the field a bit in MAGAland.

Today was the first day of my occupations of populations class. The professors mercilessly went after anti vaxxers and climate change deniers. It was glorious. I pay a lot for my education and am thankful for the privilege of a liberal evidenced based education. Looking forward to the rest of class.

Was told the best way to read these two is in tandem. I’m up for the challenge. It’s a nice break from my studies.

Reading through my first assignment of the semester. The article is saying that as occupational therapists we need to be on interdisciplinary teams to creatively combat climate change, the most pressing health issue for us today. The article is 10 yrs old citing 20 yr old work. It’s heartbreaking.

Semester starts next Tues. Already looking at initial assignments and looking forward to clinical placements. Will be nice to get out of the classroom and into practice a bit. This will be the last semester before starting two multi year research projects. Cheers to ‘25!

Finishing up the tail end our holiday family trip. Mexican cruise with the in-laws to start the trip. We missed the LA fires by about a week. Finished up the trip where I grew up in VT. On the bus now to Logan airport. Good to be with old friends and family. It will be good to get back home in CA.
