346 days. That’s how late we are with this budget. Current #NCGA leadership is FAILING the people of NC, and we need leaders who will demand better.

The #NCGA is back in short session today. The first thing that must be done is passing a budget. Our state budget is 293 days late…and counting.

I believe in advocating for our schools. Students, teachers, and staff should never be the victims of political stalemates.

It’s amazing to be watching the splashdown of Artemis II. Did anyone else not breathe for 10 minutes watching it live? Or was it just me?

Tonight I stood up at the Concord City Council meeting, to stand and ask those in charge to stand against an ICE facility in our city. I see this as something objectionable not only morally, but developmentally and economically.

I grew up in the 90s learning that community matters. Neighbors helped neighbors, adults looked out for us, and we believed tomorrow could be better. I’m running to protect that feeling.

Progressive is about people. It’s about solutions. It’s about moving forward.
Grateful for the endorsement of the Progressive Caucus of the NC Democratic Party as we work to build a stronger, more just North Carolina.

So I hear we are throwing back to #2016. I had just graduated college, puppy snuggles, lots of time making memories with my mom, Snapchat filters, and a major election we are still feeling the fallout from. 2016 wrapped up in one statement: oh what a time to be alive!

I was proud to walk in the Kannapolis Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Day parade today with Red Wine & Blue, and so many friends.
The Dream Dr. King talked about is never ending and a road toward tomorrow we have to keep marching on towards.

#FBF: Hard to believe that 10 years ago today I walked across the stage at @FGCU earning my Bachelor's Degree in Communication. If you had told 22 year old Thomas that a decade later he would be running for office he probably would have laughed in your face. Funny how time flies and paths change?
