A JAMA trial followed 1,300 term infants born small for gestational age in South Delhi. At 12 months, those given bundled health, nutrition, early stimulation and maternal support averaged 0.22 kg more weight. The study couldn’t separate which component mattered.

An independent trial across 123 English early-years settings found Talking Time—two 15-minute small-group sessions weekly for 20 weeks—produced about one extra month of language progress for ages 3–5 versus other settings (effect size 0.08). EEF rated the result high-confidence.
