I wonder how much LLM generated code will lock people into these outdated patterns. Feels like whenever I see vibecoded stuff the syntax is (apart from anything else) quite out of date

I really wanted a Burner but was too small so was given a Striker instead which was like riding a lump of lead

I like the way that Hayden Panettiere is seems to be subtly cos-playing as spider-man in that outfit

Indian and other cinema traditions have a much easier time with this kind of tonal shift. Nolan is, if nothing else, a rigorously realist 'western' film maker

Yes, "a family-friendly audiovisual spectacle, like an elaborate Fourth of July fireworks display" is a good thing!

... the viking men and british women. I'm not having a go, I just thought it was an interesting example of the way we tend to ascribe transmission of what we might consider masculine/ viking characteristics to male descendants and vice-versa. I know this is the kind of thing i might easily do too

I asked my kids (14, 16) the same thing a while back they were unanimous that the best one was Lego Batman.
tbh think they might be right.

Yeah, Le Guin was knocking them out the park right up to (and including) Lavinia. M John Harrison's recent work is IMO his best. Dickens? Eliot? All their best work is in the back half of their career.
