All I will say is, once I found out that there was a lot of drama behind-the-scenes and changeover from S1 to S2 (and even *more* changeover from S3)…you can tell.
What TV show got so bad it effectively destroyed your appreciation for the show when it was was good?

At this point, the only fandom space that has been created and continues to serve actual fandom is AO3 and there are nutjobs trying to get rid of THAT.

Here we go folks. At least March of next year gives folks enough time to rebuild elsewhere. I just hope the folks with Originals contracts are getting their due.
Also, I hope they intend to cash out the ad revenue creators got even if it's under 25 bucks.

I think it’s a shame that the “100 Best TV Shows of the 21st Century” only has one animated entry too, but can we PLEASE suggest animated shows from other countries or, at least, shows intended for adults? I love ATLA but it would not be on there.

A smut writer I liked has stopped posting bc someone commented that their fic was “pedophilic” as the ship involving two 40 year old men had one calling the other “cute.”
And the person who made this comment cannot understand why what they said is so offensive.

Take shamefully stolen from eugenics twink but it is funny how porn is often considered one of the major vices of the digital era but unlike infinite scrolling algorithmically curated content it has a very obvious end state where you get on with the rest of your life
It's kind of fucked up to think that I, a guy with 50k+ posts on a niche microblogging website, have a more healthy attitude toward my phone than the median American because I know how to put it away when other people are around or there's something else I'd rather be doing
IMHO the two ways that life in developed democracies has gotten worse is
1. People are spending less of their time on things they find meaningful due to compulsive Phone use
2. Housing costs too much in high opportunity areas
Other issues are real and significant but also red herrings tbh
