This! I get that no USWNT player plays in the USL but they will post and promote the NWSL and pretend other women’s leagues don’t exist. When will this change?
Seeing the crowds at these W League semifinals again helps prove that soccer as a spectator sport in the US is thriving.
I think the ongoing issue is why the business of soccer in the US continues to be incapable of doing anything but focus on the two domestic major leagues and the national teams.

US Soccer will never reach the next level until we get rid of a closed system. You will never convince me that a country the size of 350 million people that the best soccer players happen to be a former coach’s son and a former player’s son.
