I am getting SRS in October. I am excited beyond words, it's definitely hit, but I'm still processing it.

Recently, I found a video of myself pre-transition and realized that I didn't really recognize myself. I knew it *was* me and that I used to look like that, but it didn't register in my head.

One of the most important things I can say is that transitioning isn't meant for / won't save everyone, but it can save someone. I struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts for a number of years, then lived life on autopilot up until I came out. It made me a person again. Happier than ever!
