The whole situation is quite annoying since I'd like to just drop my tooling and data online for someone else to pick up the work instead, but that would certainly just get fed to the slop machine as well, and that's the last thing I want all that effort to go to.

Thank you for reaching out, it means a lot to me. Honestly, it felt like a huge slap in the face when I heard about it, so I've completely lost my motivation. I'll probably get back to it eventually, but it's been shelved for now and I don't know when my free time and motivation will align again.

i am begging more japanese devs and other creatives with long, celebrated resumes to please take a hard look in the mirror and ask themselves if their past selves 20+ years ago or whenever when they were working on their most famous stuff would be into this tech, because this shit is killing me lol

Insincerity in writing is just boring and the lowest effort you can put in to make something look polished. There's no discernible voice because all it takes to write such material is surface level research and basic technical competency every working writer has. The bar is beneath the damn ground.

I need to do a lot of maintenance on my web presence sometime soon as things are definitely falling apart over there, but haven't had the brainspace for it since I'm no sysadmin but I still insist on doing it all myself. One of these days it'll all be nice again...
