Airline executives are now preparing for oil to hit $175/barrel
& forecasting > $100/barrel not until the end of 2027. Red eyes (cheaper overnight flights) on Tues/Wed/Night will likely be cancelled. Air Canada has hedged their own fuel by 20% but that can only buffer so much. Expect higher fares

“Thanks for making the time,” - B.C. moving to permanent daylight time effective March 8.

This brings the southern part of the province into alignment with the North East part of the Province

The change means when people in other parts of Canada “fall back” this November, B.C. will not.

Dubai & Abu Dhabi have begun a limited restart of operations, but 80%+ of flights remain cancelled

2. Flights between Europe/North America & Asia are being rerouted, leading to significant delays & potential fueling stops in cities like Vienna or Rome.

Iran has struck Oman for the first time. At least two Iranian attack drones hitting the port of Duqm, wounding one worker in their residence. 2nd drone fell near fuel tanks with no further damage.

Reports say that Muscat International Airport has shut down as of Sunday (air space had remain open).

Airlines in #Canada, have to follow strict rules to ensure the luggage compartment is not only secured, BUT that all ground staff, are accounted for. Similar to how surgeons have to account for all the medical instruments, before closing up an operation.This is a controllable ✈️ delay under APPR law.

💡Expect to see a ~30% price drop on flights to/from Costa Rica. Some call it the Porter effect. This may also lower flight prices out of surrounding airport like Hamilton, Kitchener/Waterloo, or even London (YXU) who may fly to Costa Rice via connections.

Reports coming in that #Vancouver duty free staff reported the uniformed Air India Boeing 777 pilot being impaired (either by taking free sample or smelling of alcohol prior to purchasing alcohol), to the Canadian authorities who conducted a breath analyser test which showed registered a fail.
