It also goes without saying that sometimes you just lose an election, regardless of the voter turnout. And a bad policy gets put in place. Look at Florida. Other factors are gerrymandering of districts and voter suppression.

And considering we've had nothing but lesser of two evil choices for the last 40 years, that is a lot of damage to be undone. Jmo.

Helpless.. So are people who aren't old enough to vote presidential or local eletions, as are the people who weren't old enough to vote when the damage was being done, policies being made, etc. People are politically active locally, which doesn't immediately correlate to national level changes.
