You know, honestly, more than monetary donations, if somebody worked at a company that had access to a lot of 18 terabyte and larger hard drives and could talk to us, that's where we are really suffering. The internet archive has no special priority in buying hard drives and those things are insane.
The ongoing 429 errors are due to a variety of infrastructure issues and repairs being done on Wayback. Sorry, folks

Had this exact conversation yesterday. It is very hard to explain to older people that this is the new normal & the old polity & GOP are gone, replaced by competitive authoritarianism & a far right party. And impossible to tell college students that this is not normal. It’s their whole experience.
