I just don't see a high press team with Isak and Gakpo playing.
Goes back to the signings not matching the plan. Ekitike is not a high press guy either.
Only natural pressers are Wirtz and Munoz, so it's disjointed.
It remains to be seen if AI can get these big signings to work harder.
We will see.

I am concerned these metrics mask what we are seeing.
HI Pressures what does that mean in real terms? If he pressures but they bypass him did it matter?
Runs ahead of ball but loses it or the pass never comes is a wasted run.
It's well over a year now and we've seen very little output for £116m

A lot of the fixes are 2yr fixes.
Surely that is too long to lock in for?

Feel the firms are using this and high exit fees per fuel on fixed tariffs.

Variable trackers seem more reasonable but you don't get the fixed bonus.

It's almost like signing predominantly LW minded players would have that effect, who'd a thought.....
The recruiting had been Shambolic for 2 seasons for obscene money to get an imbalanced team that cannot compete at the very top.
The worry is AI does not have the tools to fix this.
For now...

That was so poor today.
Flat, no runners and no quality.

Agree this was my concern too, hopefully unlike Slot he will learn to rotate more, although he may not have the squad he ideally wants.

Fair enough, I haven't seen much of him and what I have, has been in attacking third, probably because defensive work is not as exciting for a highlight package.

Still think Chelsea will resume deal in Jan.

Same Camara that Chelsea nearly got?
He's not a CDM though? Had him as a similar type to Dom?
Looks decent but another attack minded player when we need a security blanket.

Makes sense Gakpo stays with current options but needs to put more effort defensively, hopefully now he knows he is staying he will knuckle down.
Also a limited option centrally in the short term to rest Isak or Inevitable injury.
Assuming market ruined the plan to turn CG into 2 new wingers?

All true.
More than happy to be proved wrong but recent years and signings have been poor.
Even the more positive fans such as yourself surely cannot see any successful recent signings. No one bar Ekitike in patches has shown up.
Nothing in my timeline I believe has proved me wrong so far.

Ha, don't get me started on NFL 😂.
Happy to be proved wrong on the signings but have thought right from the beginning they BC will be too lightweight for Prem for that price. Plus his natural position will stifle RN growth. Wanted a natural RW and CDM over LW.

Wouldn't say we were exciting in attacki today, just very poor again, especially Wirtz who is struggling.
Problem is we are losing any impact from Dom in CM, needs to be RB or a 10 for me.

Can only hope we get better in forward areas and more balanced in midfield as defence is so fragile

Lucky you, been utter dogshit!
No idea if it's the managers tactics or personnel?
Just the same as last year with struggles against low block but no Salah instead square peg Gakpo at RW and the Spanish Dan James at LW?
Should be 2-0 down easily.
I see nothing to see we will turn this around.

Can't see his ego allowing that even if we agree a fee.
Probably Germany or Italy if he leaves.

Isak had 2 very good chances and blew them.
We've not seen hardly any elite finishing from him so far.
Based on the game, he would have missed the pen anyway.

Good job the wingers we have signed and linked with have very good assist records..... 👀
