Very unlike Spirit, which, to me, kind of cocooned the listener from beginning to end.

A very interesting read, and interesting detail about the album's making.

I seem to have a memory of listening to this a lot on night time drives, often back from my girlfriend's house- so not unhappy times- I was fascinated by the songs on the album, bit mainly because they were quite cold sounding (reminding me of Van der Graaf Generator's "Godbluff" album), arid.

There are two Piddingtons.

One is a very small village/hamlet just outside High Wycombe.

The other is the apparently bonkers one we're seeing in the headlines.

This is truly the most pathetic whinging bastard who has ever lived...simply gobsmackingly, unfathomably pathetic.

Even if they have to give the money back, they will have been able to invest it, surely earning a pile of interest from their establishment pals in the finance industry?

Nice to see a station without platform clutter, and some "traditional-looking" canopies.*

*may even be original?

Yes, autumnal birdsong sounds almost like a lament for summer.

Robins sing differently, and it seems birds take to skulking in hedgerows and making ticking and chacking sounds, just to let us know they're still around.

This morning belonged to the long-tailed tits again though.

From what I've seen, looking across the pond, is a man who is making peoples' lives better.

The Musk Rat, on the other hand...

Maybe that's what the dinner lady in The Simpsons meant when she said "our sausages now contain more rectums"?

They didn't fancy asking that imbecile why the hell they embarked on the stupidest war in America's history?

A war that is affecting the entire planet.

Thanks very much Dotard and your entourage of MAGA muppets.

Overhung.

It's not too difficult is it predictive text? You still appear not to believe it's a real word, the past tense of "overhang".

Happy birthday Hannah. My first birds were the local house sparrows, piling into their favourite bush two doors down. I love their unruly chirruping.

Another adjacent neighbour wanted the bush removed because it overhang his boundary...thankfully it's still there.
