In today´s #fluorescencefriday we see human colon with a lymphoid follicle stained for alpha smooth muscle actin, EpCAM, CD3 (T cells), CD20 (B cells), CD68 (macrophages) and CD11b (neutrophils and monocytes). In this image, fluorescent markers were played with -and forgot which ones they were.

SEPIA offers a centralized database for transcriptomic profiles from diverse IBD mouse models. It enables model comparisons, human IBD data cross-referencing, and hypothesis generation without wet labs or animal stress. Goal: Reduce redundant experiments and support the 3R principles in research.

IBDome is a TRR 241 initiative providing a deeply characterized multi-omics dataset of IBD patients. It links clinical and molecular data to enable advanced cohort analyses, supports hypothesis generation, and a preprint is accessible via the IBDome Explorer. Public release coming soon.

TRR241 explores immune-epithelial crosstalk in IBD pathogenesis, uniting experts in Germany and Austria. Our research spans barrier regulation, immune response therapy development.
