I am predictably obsessed with the Mark Williams trade. Threw some extended (by social media standards) thoughts on Instagram, including the obvious and fraught links b/w this transaction and the Luka deal:

Yeah, point differential is meh, but, uh, the Lakers -- this year's team, the one that somehow seemed less relevant than future versions post-The Trade -- is 29-19 + just got Luka Doncic. Need defense/size, but Luka/Bron fit will be fine. Two hoops geniuses. This team is at least interesting.

This is the first trade I can recall where 2-3 days later, I *literally* cannot believe it happened. Like, I see Luka in a Lakers uniform and wonder if I am in some kind of dream state. The Mavericks really did that?
