The season 1 finale and season 2 premiere is what made me a super fan. This was the one show I was able to get my work friend who never finishes shows to actually stick with, and we got to watch the finale movie together, so that should be a ringing endorsement.

Ebert cited Kermit having “a talent for playing the ukulele” in his Muppet Movie review more than once, so yeah, agreed. It seems like he was more about the vibes than the details.

I kind of liked the Grogu alone in the woods sequence, but again, it felt like it would have been an interesting episode in the back half of a season of the show.

Yeah I compared it to how Venture Bros and Metalocalypse both got their next/final seasons cancelled so they were both given a finale movie instead that hit some of the key points they would have stretched out. Difference being those tied up some arcs. This added nothing.

I love how blatant the reshoots are that after Bucky completely leaves the shot, Ruth the nothing character enters and is like “Was that…?” “Yup.” “Future Congressman James Barnes.” Because they definitely didn’t know who was gonna say yes to a cameo there and shot it last minute. Steve? Bucky?

Yeah, immediately put a bad taste in my mouth. Made the whole rest of the special an uphill battle to get me on board. 😔

One stupid little thing I enjoyed that was almost certainly from the Lord & Miller cut was the Imperial March being in-universe propaganda music.

Lack of brick and mortar competition. I’ve been a manager of a smaller used media store location for over a decade but when people discover us, we’re usually their go-to over GS. Every year something happens to keep them afloat: Meme stocks, taking in broken consoles, remembering retro games exist.

Agreed. The “Mayor Fisk” run in the comics dragged on for longer than I would have liked. Also, it didn’t have a very satisfying conclusion, so hopefully the show wraps it up better than the books but moves on to something else.

Mickey’s Philharmagic is underrated. It’s a fun 4D theater experience at both parks. Get some A/C and watch Donald hop around some iconic Disney songs while they pump some matching smells into the room.

Individual mileage varies on the first two sequels, but because of that crappy entry specifically, in my opinion, we now have “the good trilogy”, “the bad trilogy”, and the “disappointing trilogy”.
