It’s been almost two year since we first started our long-term 3-NOP feed study at the UC Davis dairy. We have enrolled over 60 cows and collected thousands of measurements on emissions, feed intake, milk production, body weight, body condition, and animal health. 1/

Earlier this month, we said goodbye to 66 cattle as they set off to Washington as part of the last phase to our very first early-life intervention study. And now, we are welcoming 71 steers as part of our second early-life intervention study to the UC Davis Feedlot. 1/

Feeding a growing population while minimizing the environmental impact of livestock production is a key challenge for modern producers. Through advances in breeding and technology, farmers are increasing productivity without increasing resource demands. 1/
