Blender is free, and maya has an indie version for 300 a year. I have an older non-subscription version im using, so i’m avoiding subscription fees

It took me a bit to learn, but its pretty great. I like the menus i can activate with mouse gestures.
Sometimes i’d do a base in maya and bring it into Z-brush for detailed sculpting. I haven’t used blender so i don’t know if its any easier. Also maya will cost more

I modeled it in Maya, then tossed on some glue and the fake grass used for model train sets to add texture ^^
