If it came to that, the book never gave you the evidence of anything. It talked about "a handsome prince"... was he really, or was it just because he was a prince that people called handsome? As for "a girl who was as beautiful as the day was long"... well, which day? In midwinter it hardly ever got light! The stories don't want you to think, they just wanted you to believe what you were told...

That quote about evil being unable to create anything new feels particularly relevant to the way these models remix existing human art. It really makes you wonder if we're trading our creative soul for a shortcut.

thedoubteriswise nothing funnier to me than when Al does math wrong. like I get why it happens, it's a language model that's treating the numbers you feed it as words rather than integers and then giving you an answer based on how those words typically appear in a block of text instead of actually performing a calculation. but the one thing computers are genuinely incredible at. you fucked up a perfectly good calculator is what you did, look at it it's got hallucinations

Ayer pensé mucho en cómo habría sido ver el eclipse desde el castillo, como cuando de adolescente subía con mi prima y los amigos a ver las estrellas, y me puse muy blandita 🤧

Ojalá mis tíos hubieran tenido la cueva ya terminada, hubiéramos subido toda la familia seguro.
