people will say "did you know the creator of ... has a weird fetish" as if anything other than a weird fetish could possibly compel you to suffer through the creative process

Okay, I made a proper piece of it.
#blualgaeart #oc #shibari
Digital drawing of Opri, an elf with freckles and medium brown hair tied up in shibari upside down with their upper torso against the ground. They have some tattoos and are wearing a fundoshi under the ropes. They also have a noticeable amount of body hair on their legs, body and arms. They’re smiling wide.

In wha Richeh being like "but I don't WANNA look at the spells in the book, I wanna make my OWN! Don't tell me what to do!!!" was SO relatable to me. I spent so many art classes as a kid angry and crying because I hated being told what to do and how to do it so much that I physically could not do it

Töppönen’s today’s vet bill came to 500€. (╥﹏╥) i hate to ask but here’s my ko-fi goal for all the vet expenses so far and if you can help me with them by tipping me, I’m so grateful.

I’ll also try to open commissions ASAP and plan to use those to pay for most of this!

do enjoy contemplating the idea that Oruggio made the Raincleaver for Qifrey when Qifrey went on his sad little soul-searching adventure

(click on those bad boys for better quality and more details!)
#WHA #WitchHatAtelier #WHAspoilers
digital drawing of Oruggio from Witch Hat Atelier, picturing him working on enchanting a sword. he is depicted as a young adult of average build, with short straight black hair and an untrimmed goatee; he is barefoot and dressed in a comfortable attire of short trousers and a roomy, v-necked tunic, its sleeves tied up and out of the way. he is sitting at a table, hunched over his work in concentration, his face tired. one of his feet is propped up on a short stack of books, the other resting on the ground; his left hand is wrapped around the handle of the longsword, which is lying partially on the table. he is carving glyphs into the blade with his pen in the other hand, sparks flying from under the nib. around him, various objects are arranged in stacks: books, ink pots, a vase with quills, a magical light, and his witch hat. the drawing is washed with warm sepia tones. digital drawing of Qifrey from Witch Hat Atelier, depicting him standing in the rain, holding the sword from the previous drawing. Qifrey is a young adult, tall and lanky, with curly light hair that is weighted down with the rainwater; he is dressed in his usual dark turtleneck, long tunic, trousers, boots and a cloak that is thrown over the heavy traveling pack he is carrying on his back. he is wearing his witch hat, and he is clutching the end of its long black ribbon close to his stomach. the handle of the longsword is in his right hand, hanging almost limply at his side. the point of the sword is resting on the ground and cleaving a small puddle in half, the water rising at the edges of the parting. his face is turned downwards, and his brows are drawn in anguish. behind him, there is a bare skeletal tree barely clinging onto the rocky ground he is standing on. the drawing is washed with shades of blue.

his strengths: insight, business-savvy

his weakness: inability to see how his decision will bite him in the ass a couple years down the line

#WHA #WitchHatAtelier
first page of a sketchy comic featuring Qifrey and Oruggio from Witch Hat Atelier. in the first panel, Oruggio is pulling out his sheer silk cape out of a box on the table in front of him, a satisfied grin on his face. Qifrey, who is sitting opposite him, is asking, "You're aware this client is courting you, right?". Oruggio replies, "Duh", to which Qifrey responds with "And you're still going to accept this gift?" in the second panel, Oruggio has lowered the cape as he stares at Qifrey with an unamused expression. second page of the comic. the first panel is entirely taken up by Oruggio's deadly serious face, his eyes shadowed, and a giant speech bubble containing his response. he says, "Qifrey. this is pure marshwood silk. their silkworms are lauded throughout Zozah for being the fattest most beautiful creatures in the world that shit out fibers strong enough to be used in the construction of heavy machinery, and soft enough so as not to irritate the skin of a newborn baby. it must cost more than what they paid me for that commission in the first place." then he adds, "if i die early you can sell it off and all the girls will have enough money to start their own businesses." in the second panel, Qifrey is still sitting at the table, one elbow propped up on it with his cheek resting in the palm of his hand. he says, "Oru, if you accept it she will assume you're accepting her courtship." an out-of-frame Oruggio exclaims, "she can think we're married for all I care, as long as she keeps sending me these." in the third panel we see a close-up of Qifrey's face. his tiny smile is accompanied by a thousand yard stare, and next to him in the imaginary space there is a cute piggy bank titled 'Misery' with a +1 speech bubble coming out of the slot. Oruggio continues, still out of frame, "Qifrey, i think they used real gold for this embroidery, holy smokes-"

redraw of everyone's favorite 'dad & the cat he didn't want' panel
#WitchHatAtelier #WHA #Δ帽子
digital fan art of Oruggio and the Brushbug from Witch Hat Atelier, a semi-realistic re-draw of a panel from chapter 44. Oruggio is a young man of average build, with messy short straight black hair and an unkempt goatee. he is wearing his usual white shirt with billowing sleeves caught at the elbows with dark cording; there are burn scars scattered on his forearms and hands. the brushbug is a silly fluffy noodle creature that's mostly fur and huge eyes, with a tail that is twice as long as its body. Oruggio is lying down on his stomach, propped up on his elbows, and razzling the hell out of the brushbug's tail while it's rolling around on the floor in front of him with its paws all akimbo. Oruggio is looking up with a beleaguered and unimpressed expression on his tired face, as if momentarily distracted from bothering the animal.
