About halfway done and MK1 has a surprisingly good story mode, like, it's paced well and most characters are pretty well characterised, but I know, somehow, they're gonna screw this up in the end

This is perhaps more tragic than a bog standard hateful parent, my mom is a neurotic religious nutcase who tried using hypnosis on me as a toddler so I never expected her to support me, my father acted like he supported me, until it came down to actually materially transitioning, then he freaked
Something that breaks my heart every time I think about it is when for like 2 years I thought my dad supported me being trans and then when I tried to medically transition he reacted with horror
