Seeing eye puppies get upgraded from a bandana to a vest when they pass an obedience test! (Basic commands, able to ignore distractions relatively well, walking well on leash with a slight pull, etc.)

Fable, the puppy I’ve been raising to be a guide dog, went back for formal training today! A little bittersweet but she’s going to (hopefully!) help someone navigate the world with ease and dignity (and a gorgeous gorgeous cutie patootie guide dog!)!!!

I don’t use retractable leashes but I only have large breed dogs. I’ve also always been paranoid they’d jam/get tangled/etc. I DO have a leather leash that has different clasps to adjust it to different lengths and I’ve seen longer biothane versions if you were looking for alternatives!!
