I am one of the lucky ones to be on the reservation list. Still waiting for my purchase email though. A friend in Canada got his order email yesterday, so they are going out...just slooowly. I assume they're keeping their payment processor API limits under control by doing this.

ended up getting it anyway...still not a bad price. will be my first scope. 55y/o and just learning to use a scope....LOL Just keep learning!

Restaurants don't have to pay for gas. You're basically paying for a delivery fee with your meal. Either way, I don't think anyone is getting rich running a food truck. Probably the only one winning in this situation is the bank that owns the load on the truck.

I think movies are getting this way too. It's just easier to watch the movie in a minute or two YouTube video. Basically Cliff notes for movies!

Irrelevant of how well AI can code, it wont do original design or concepts. The low hanging fruit is even lower now, but the real innovation still comes from human design and direction.

Sony has ALWAYS been about trying to lock customers into something. Look at the memory cards! Don't think they're going to be a champion of ownership. They're just looking for what they think is best for their bottom line.

Either the slop eventually dies because it is bad, or it needs to be fixed. Be there when the slop needs to be fixed! There will still be plenty of work for programmers in the future.

That is a sad way to progress through this one life. If you're impoverished and have little choice, but if you're someone who has the means to pursue a higher education then you should try to find something that's more than JUST money making.

I guess what's baffling is why anybody would go into a field that they really have no interest in.

Based on my corporate experience, this is quite true of many. They went into programming because they heard it was a field that they could earn good money from, not because they liked working with computers. Many of them have little to no interest in computers in their personal life. Baffling!

Also hybrids are all of the maintenance/oil changes/gas/etc of a conventional car, with the eventual need to replace the battery pack which even for a hybrid is very expensive.

Had a Kia Sorrento Hybrid and I think it was one of the first years it was offered. It had lots of problems with the batteries overheating. On more than one occasion, it decided to just shutdown because I was just sitting waiting for my kid at school. This is Florida. It couldn't handle the heat
