Cheat code for creatives: if you let your personal sadness and genuine soul-deep horniness into your art, it's pretty much immune to being co-opted by modern fascists, who focus mainly on selling a wholesome heartland that they can use as an excuse for violence they'll label as glory.

This misses the mark by such a breathtakingly wide margin that I'm tempted to be like, Did we even read the same version of The Crow. But given that there are at least four different published iterations of the damn thing by now, the answer is no, we probably didn't.

Current projects: comics publication, casual research on 19th-century medical practices, real-time experimentation re: whether or not watching Catherine Breillat's entire filmography in a single month will make me a worse person, collages, etc.

Remember that time we were gonna print the third issue of a horror anthology series? It took us a couple years, but we did. We're re-launching the Kickstarter in three weeks to cover production costs and artist payroll; you can follow the project via the prelaunch page below:

Picked up a new zine compilation of sketchbook art from Thee Goatfucker Emeritus. Jack's work consistently makes me go "damn, that rips" immediately followed by "I need to draw more," very cool to have this one for the coffee table.

We’ve been doing PVD Horror screenings for 8 years (Damn, that’s crazy). But last night was fun and a special screening. Waxwork was my first horror film as a kid that turned me into a horror junkie. Thanks to everyone coming out and making these events special. See you all next month.

THIS WEEK'S EPISODE OF SHALLOW BLADE! PART FOUR!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
This one was made in October 2020 and has a cameo from Luis Diaz's character Video Witch, which was another comic running in No, Nothing Mag at the time.
There's also Sayaka because I was watching Madoka while drawing this

It just occurred to me that I very enthusiastically suggested to my dad that he watch the Guillermo Del Toro Frankenstein while we were out to dinner for Father's Day. Have to live with the consequences of whatever he thought I was implying by this, I guess.

sure, there are famous movies about drag queens like TO WONG FOO, PRISCILLA, and THE BIRDCAGE. but there's a whole world of weird, campy, underground drag cinema that paved runway for STOP! THAT! TRAIN! here are 9 essential drag queen movies for W Magazine: www.wmagazine.com/culture/drag...
The Drag Cinema That Paved the Runway Before 'Stop! That! Train!'
From 'Die, Mommie, Die!' to 'Death Drop Gorgeous,' the underground drag films that prove a queen and a tiny budget are all it takes to make a cult classic.

I tweaked a muscle in my back during today's Torture Gymnastics session and my physical therapist was like, "oh wow, your entire right should is incredibly jacked up." Yeah, that's the cartooning arm, babyyyyy; I'm only 5-7 more soft tissue injuries away from an Ignatz nomination

The history of eroguro is fascinating. It was originally protest art against conservative censorship in Japan towards pornography. The obscenity was the point, because censorship is inherently a right wing ideology.
And yet… people have put a progressive twist on censorship as history revisionism.
