The mainstream media is mostly owned by right wing oligarchs at this point, and they will push the pardon Trump narrative hard.
Even if the midterms prevent Trump from being Orange Julius Caesar, there is a real risk that he is a Sulla figure - who shattered norms & paved the way for the Caesars.
